Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has won numerous awards for her works. She has been a vocal advocate for human rights for animals. The actress is famous for films like Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). Born and raised in a family of artists living in New York she wished to be a part of the art. Her first position was a photo assistant. She then moved on to modelling and acting. She was noticed in her two first films and received Golden Globe Award for Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's movie Love Story proved a major success and earned her international recognition along with an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. Within just three short films, she became the top female box office actress worldwide. In Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she was able to have her signature and hand-footprints engraved. Alongside The Getaway Convoy Players she was also in the TV series The Winds of War. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
