Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise, an American actress and writer popular for her portrayal of Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in the 1960s. Her acting career began as a stage artist during the 1950s beginning with Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the 1950s she performed as a stage artist in several Broadway productions before gaining into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner' in 1957. The album was released by her Too Late for Tina the same year. Louise made her foray into Hollywood acting as Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a dramatic film that debuted in 1958.The film received a lot of praise as well as Louise received the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. In the years prior to this, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. Her most memorable performance came through in 1964 when she signed with CBS to portray Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise continued to have a successful professional career balancing Broadway television and Hollywood and portraying an empathetic, as opposed to the glamorous image that she was perceived. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she's also earned an impact as a successful director in numerous well-known TV shows including Supernatural as well as The 100. Her family relocated from Essex to Toronto, where she spent her childhood and teenage years. Following her selection for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She was there ever since.
